Gmail New Feature for iOS” Unsubscribe feature” To Block Spam Emails
Google has updated the Gmail app for iOS devices by adding a new feature that makes it much easier for users to unsubscribe from unwanted emails. This feature introduces a dedicated ‘unsubscribe’ button in the Gmail app, positioned just below the email’s subject line. This button is a quick and convenient way for users to unsubscribe from emails like promotions, newsletters, or spam, with just a single tap.
Previously, to unsubscribe from an email, users had to either scroll down to the bottom of the email to find the unsubscribe link or navigate through the menu by tapping on the three-dot icon at the top of the message. This update simplifies the process significantly.
This feature is currently available only for iOS users, and it’s a bit unusual because Google typically introduces new features to its own Android platform first. However, they have chosen to roll this out on Apple’s iOS first this time. The feature is expected to be made available for Android users shortly.
The article notes that this is part of Google’s efforts to make email management easier and more user-friendly, especially in combating spam emails.
