Apple Expected to Unveil New iPhones, Watches, and AirPods on September 10
Apple is reportedly gearing up for a major product launch event on September 10, 2024, where the tech giant is expected to unveil its latest lineup of iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods. According to a report by Bloomberg, which cited unnamed sources, the event will showcase the new iPhone 16, among other products. Although Apple has yet to officially confirm the date, anticipation is high as the company typically holds such events around this time each year.
The new iPhone 16 is expected to feature larger screens on the Pro models, enhanced camera capabilities including a dedicated button for taking photos, and new AI-powered tools under the brand name Apple Intelligence. These updates aim to further solidify the iPhone’s position as a market leader in mobile technology. The iPhone 16 is rumored to go on sale starting September 20, 2024.
In addition to the iPhones, the event is expected to reveal the Apple Watch Series 10, which is rumored to be thinner than previous models but with larger screens. The AirPods lineup is also set for an upgrade, with new versions targeting both the low-end and mid-tier markets.
The Bloomberg report also suggests that Apple will continue its transition to M4 processors for its Mac lineup, with new Mac Minis, MacBook Pros, and iMacs equipped with these chips expected later in the year. This move is part of Apple’s broader strategy to enhance the performance and efficiency of its computers.
Apple’s third-quarter earnings report, released on August 1, 2024, revealed that hardware sales increased slightly to $61.6 billion, despite a dip in iPhone and wearables sales. Notably, Mac sales rose by 2.9% to $7 billion, while iPad sales surged by 24% to $7.2 billion, driven by the launch of new models like the iPad Pro.
During the earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted the potential of AI to revolutionize the way users interact with technology. Cook mentioned that AI could transform various aspects of Apple’s ecosystem, from writing tools to innovative ways of communication.
He also hinted at future products, including a device combining an iPad-like display with a robotic arm, aimed at tasks related to smart home management and videoconferencing. This device, expected to be released by 2026 or 2027, would be priced around $1,000.
As Apple prepares for its September event, the tech world eagerly awaits the company’s latest innovations, which are expected to continue shaping the future of consumer technology.
