Google Will Breaking Zones With Pixel 6 Pro
With the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google is breaking new ground in several ways. Insiders have now revealed what features the two Google phones should come up with. Pure performance only plays a subordinate role.
The puzzle of Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is coming together more and more. After the extravagant design and the periscope telephoto lens have already become known, there is now detailed information on the technical equipment of Google mobile phones.
Google 6 (Pro): “Whitechapel” Processor Focuses On AI Capabilities.
According to this, Google will integrate a self-developed processor, called “Whitechapel”, for the first time in the new smartphone series. According to insider Max Weinbach, it will be manufactured using the modern 5-nanometer process, but its performance will range between the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 865. Another insider confirms this and adds, according to the Android Authority, that the Google processor is closer to the Snapdragon 870 in terms of performance, which in turn is only a slightly drilled-out version of the Snapdragon 865.
Google’s focus in “Whitechapel” is said to be on the chip’s AI capabilities. The US company is not trying to catch up with the pure performance of the Snapdragon 888, they say. That makes sense, after all, Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently explained in an interview that artificial intelligence is Google’s biggest future area. An SoC with outstanding performance in the area of machine learning could, for example, give the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro a decisive advantage in terms of the quality of photo and video recordings. A Mali GPU is apparently used as the graphics unit, the performance of which should not disappoint even “under load”.
Fast 120 Hz Display And 5,000 mAh Battery
Apart from the built-in processor, the insiders also revealed some interesting features of the new Pixel series. For example, both smartphones should have a screen with a fast refresh rate of 120 Hz. While the Google pixels 6 Full HD + have to do that is Google pixels 6 Pro, however, a WQHD + resolution received. The larger pixel should also have a 5,000 mAh battery on board.
There are still no concrete statements about the market launch or price of the Google 6 (Pro). Above all, the latter should decide whether Google’s (renewed) foray into the flagship sector will be crowned with success.
