Motorola Edge (2024) Debuts in the US: Enhanced Features at a Competitive Price
Motorola is expanding its smartphone lineup in the US by introducing the Motorola Edge (2024), which offers high-end features at an accessible price point of $549. This announcement follows the international launch of the Edge 50 series, signaling Motorola’s continued commitment to providing versatile smartphone options across markets.
The Motorola Edge (2024) is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, positioning it firmly in the upper-mid-range category. The device features a 6.6-inch pOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, designed to deliver a crisp and responsive user experience.
Durability is also a key aspect of the new Edge, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and a robust 5,000 mAh battery. The battery supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, providing users with fast and flexible power options.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Edge’s camera capabilities, which include a 50MP main sensor by Sony and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. The phone also boasts a 32MP front-facing camera with autofocus, ensuring high-quality selfies and video calls.
In addition to its impressive hardware, the Motorola Edge (2024) offers advanced editing and AI tools through Google Photos. Features such as Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Google Auto Enhance are available, enhancing the photography experience.
The Motorola Edge (2024) will be available in a sleek “Midnight Blue” color and can be purchased unlocked from Amazon, Best Buy, and directly through Motorola’s website starting June 20. It will also be available through various carriers including T-Mobile, Metro, and others, although it will not be sold directly through Verizon. Canadian customers can look forward to the device’s availability in their region at a later date.
