Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Arrives November 14 — Co-Op Campaign, 16 Maps, and Zombies on the Biggest Scale Yet

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Arrives November 14

The Call of Duty franchise is diving back into the Black Ops storyline this year. Black Ops 7, developed by Treyarch with support from Raven Software, is officially set to launch on November 14, 2025, for PS5 and PS4. And from what’s been shown so far, this isn’t just another entry — it’s one of the most ambitious Black Ops titles to date.

A New Campaign With Familiar Faces

Set in 2035, the campaign brings back a familiar villain: Raul Menendez. His shadow looms large once again, and his return ties directly into a new conflict with The Guild, a global tech company led by CEO Emma Kagan.

Players take control of David Mason and his JSOC squad, moving across locations that range from Avalon to Japan, Nicaragua, and Los Angeles. Missions aren’t just about boots-on-the-ground combat — the team is also facing a weapon designed to manipulate fear itself.

The campaign is playable solo or with up to four-player co-op, giving players the choice of tackling the story alone or with friends. Alongside the main narrative is a new PvE mode called Endgame, where teams are thrown into escalating challenges that change with every run.

And for the first time in Call of Duty history, the campaign connects directly to other modes. Thanks to Global Progression, XP, camos, and weapon unlocks carry over into Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

Multiplayer: New Arenas, New Movement

On the competitive side, Black Ops 7 launches with 16 6v6 maps — 13 brand new, plus three remasters from Black Ops II. Players will also get two large-scale 20v20 Skirmish maps, designed for objective-based chaos with vehicles, wingsuits, and grappling hooks.

At launch, there will be 30 weapons available, mixing futuristic designs with old favorites. Gear customization has been rebuilt around the Overclock system, letting players tune streaks, equipment, and gadgets in creative ways. A Cluster Grenade, for example, can be modified to pack in more mini-explosives.

Movement has also taken a leap forward. The new Omnimovement system allows wall jumps, advanced mantling, and perk-driven sprint variations — a clear push toward faster, freer firefights that encourage more creative plays.

Zombies: Bigger Than Ever

Zombies mode is returning to its roots with round-based gameplay and what Treyarch says is the largest Zombies map in the series. The story continues with Weaver, Carver, Maya, and Grey, now trapped inside the Dark Aether and facing twisted alternate versions of Richtofen, Nikolai, Dempsey, and Takeo.

In addition to the main map, classic Survival maps return for fans of tighter, more focused sessions, while Dead Ops Arcade 4 delivers a wild, top-down co-op mode filled with traps, power-ups, and endless waves of enemies.

Progression and Sharing

A new weapon sharing system makes it easier to swap builds — players can share codes for custom loadouts, letting friends test each other’s setups instantly. Prestige is also back, with an expanded Weapon Prestige system that adds unique attachments and exclusive camos for those who put in the grind.

What’s Next: Multiplayer Reveal and Open Beta

The worldwide Multiplayer reveal happens on September 30 at Call of Duty NEXT, followed by an Open Beta on October 2. Players who pre-order will get early access to the beta.

Pre-Order Rewards

Anyone who pre-orders digitally on PS5 or PS4 gets:

  • Early access to the Open Beta (October 2)
  • The Reznov Challenge Pack, including exclusive operator skins for Black Ops 6 and Warzone

The premium Vault Edition adds extras like:

  • One season of BlackCell (Battle Pass + CP bonus + tier skips)
  • Four exclusive operator skins (Harper, Karma, T.E.D.D., Reaper EWR-3)
  • Five Mastercraft weapons
  • An Ultra GobbleGum Pack for Zombies
  • A Permanent Unlock Token for use at launch

Final Word

Treyarch and Raven aren’t holding back with Black Ops 7. The campaign connects seamlessly into multiplayer and Zombies through progression, movement has been redesigned to open new tactical options, and Zombies is expanding on a scale the series hasn’t seen before. With the Multiplayer reveal coming in late September, fans won’t be waiting long to see the game in action ahead of its November 14 release.
