Google will soon be introducing two new high-end smartphones, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Samsung should have its finger in the game here. But not in the way you might think at first.
Google Pixel 6 With GPU Like The Samsung Galaxy S21
A lot of information has already leaked about the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The design in particular divides people’s minds. One detail is still completely uncertain. It’s about the heart of the smartphone. The “Whitechapel” chip is still a complete unknown. The performance should be comparable to a Snapdragon 870, which plays in the upper segment. It has now been announced that the graphics chip from the Galaxy S21 should be installed. This means that the processor would actually be able to keep up with the top class and not end up in the middle class.
The Mali-G78-GPU is used in the Exynos model of the Samsung Galaxy S21, which is sold in Germany. The graphics chip does an excellent job there and ensures high performance in games, but also in normal use. The only thing currently unclear is how many cores Google will use. Samsung uses 14 cores, but significantly more would be possible, so that the performance could be further increased. So far, Google has been concerned with a good balance between performance and energy consumption. So we wouldn’t assume that the Pixel 6 will completely exhaust the possibilities of the graphics chip.
Google Does A Lot Of Things Right With The Pixel 6
In recent years, Google has made a lot of decisions about the Pixel phones that were incomprehensible. Especially when it comes to camera technology, you could no longer keep up with the competition. The choice of processors, names and much more did not fit either. A lot seems to be getting better with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The expectations of cell phones are very high. Hopefully, the rumors of the past few weeks will come true.
